About Us

Baker Rock Landscape & Decorative is part of Baker Rock Resources, a family owned business with over 60 years of experience in the aggregate industry. The company that would eventually become Baker Rock Resources was founded in 1954 by Gary Baker, Sr. and his wife Dal. After the Baker's purchased the business outright from partners in 1956, they opened a quarry shortly thereafter and Baker Rock Resources was born.

Employees and Families First

Ever since the company's inception, the Bakers have always placed the needs and security of their employees and their families first. During the early years, before the business had found consistent success, Gary Baker, Jr. remembers his parents always making sure they could cover payroll before any other bills, including their own salaries, were paid. This type of dedication has led many of our employees to spend most, if not all, of their careers with Baker Rock.

Our employees enjoy a challenging environment and a spirit of real camaraderie in the workplace. They are encouraged to share new ideas, embrace innovation, and have access to continual training and promotion opportunities. By making a commitment to our employees, we make Baker Rock a stronger, more resilient company capable of meeting our customers needs, and exceeding their expectations.

Make Our Community Better

Our company isn't dedicated only to making sure our employees remain healthy and happy, as we are also committed to making our community a better place to live and work. Baker Rock Resources has earned on-going recognition for our commitment to quality, community, and protecting our environment. We have been privileged to be the recipient of awards such as:

  • Quality Pavement Award, Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon (seven-time recipient)
  • Environmental Award, Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon (three-time recipient)
